Authentication API Reference

The subdomain of the Authentication API is authentication.

Technical users

As described in the specification, technical users can use POST /login_technical for logging in via jwt. Since their identification is IAM-based, it does not work cross-partition. For technical users from the aws-cn partition, there is therefore a separate login API available under authentication.iam-cn.data.bmw.com.cn (and authentication.iam-cn-dev.data.bmw.com.cn/authentication.iam-cn-int.data.bmw.com.cn analogously) which allows to receive a login jwt for technical users in the aws-cn partition. Analogously to the Authentication Api, POST /login_technical can be used to this end. Note that these endpoints eventually redirect to the corresponding Authentication API and thus will only work when following redirects.
